One Step Back

The trouble with trying to reinvent yourself is you don't always move in a straight line. You may see the goal ahead of you but getting to it often requires more focus and dedication than you might be willing to invest. And even when everything is going well and you feel good about the path you're forging, you can hit a speed bump that derails your confidence and fills you with self-doubt.

So, what happens then? Can you block out the voices in your head that conspire to undermine your faith in your own abilities? Can you focus on hearing the "Bravos" instead of obsessing over a solitary "Boo"? Can you start trusting your own opinions as much, if not more, than anyone else's?

I don't know but I think I'm about to find out.
